Level Introduces A New Premium Lock

Level’s new Lock Pro is a premium, Matter‑compatible smart lock designed to look like a traditional deadbolt while housing advanced internal components. It offers Apple Home Key support, door‑status detection, improved processing performance, and multiple unlocking methods. Installation mirrors a standard deadbolt with the lock remaining fully hidden.

The Circana Take:

  • Although the Lock Pro is priced near the top of the market, its discreet design, Matter compatibility, and Home Key support should interest newcomers to the Smart Home market.
  • Biometric authentication methods are limited, but users can open the lock with a compatible Apple device, NFC based cards and fobs or via pre-programmed routines.

Alexa+ Offers Multiple Personality Types

Alexa+ now offers four customizable personality styles—Brief, Chill, Sweet, and Sassy—each altering tone without changing core capabilities. The new Sassy mode adds sharp wit, playful sarcasm, and occasional censored profanity, but is restricted to adults and disabled when Amazon Kids is active. These styles aim to match users’ communication preferences and expand Alexa+’s expressiveness while maintaining safety limits and avoiding harmful content.

The Circana Take:

  • Alexa+’s new personality types let users tailor Alexa’s tone and communication style, making interactions feel more personal and engaging. They introduce distinct modes, broadening customization while preserving core functionality.
  • This shift reflects Amazon’s push toward more expressive, human‑like AI experiences and aligns Alexa+ with industry trends toward personalization.
